Running is for everyone. It's not about being the fastest, but about enjoying the journey and getting a little better every day.

The story

I'm Ken Schepmans, a runner from Belgium. For me, running is much more than a sport: it's a way to get people moving, to enjoy the journey and to show that every runner has their own story, goals and pace.

Through social media and the local running community, I encourage people of every level to live actively. Whether you're training for your first 5 kilometres, chasing a personal best or preparing for a marathon: enjoy the process and be proud of every step forward. I'm chair of a social running club, and as a charity runner I helped raise almost €100,000 for cancer research.

I've run the London Marathon, among others, and I'm now preparing for the New York Marathon. Not just for my own milestones, but also to show others that every finish starts with one step.

Ken Schepmans, Nordal ambassador
Why Nordal?
As a runner I train for countless hours, prepare for races and push my limits. So for me recovery isn't optional, it's a necessity. Nordal has become a constant in my routine, from daily runs to marathon preparation.
Which products do you use, and why?
My favourites are Hot Muscle Gel, Ice Muscle Gel and Recovery Muscle Gel. Together they help me prepare well and keep training consistently. On the long distances, No Friction Cream comes along too.
What drives you?
Running gives me a goal, the good cause gives me motivation. Knowing that every step can help others keeps me moving.
What's your biggest achievement so far?
It has nothing to do with medals or times. With the We Fight Together team we turned the power of running into something bigger than ourselves. By bringing athletes, companies and supporters together, we built a movement that raises awareness, raises money for cancer research and gives hope to those affected by the disease.
What are you working towards now?
The New York City Marathon on 1 November 2026. Running a marathon is about challenging yourself and going through every emotion along the way: from joy to fear and everything in between.

Habit is the silent killer of Freedom that only risk can balance out.

The story

I'm a freerider and alpinist from Austria. I compete in the FWTQ and seek out my own lines in the big mountains, in my own style.

What drives me is the mental side of the sport: testing limits and finding self-confidence when it counts. I don't count a podium as my greatest achievement, but my consistency: three years in a row in the Austrian top ten. And more important than any line or summit: the people I've helped in the mountains when they were lost, injured or out of their depth.

To stay fit for long winter days, I train in summer in the gym, running and climbing in the mountains. A freeride project is planned for autumn 2027.

Bene Aste, Nordal ambassador
Why Nordal?
The gels are easy to use and I take them everywhere, especially when I'm on the road and pushing my limits in the mountains. Whether I'm in my van, in a mountain hut or just at home, I can use them anywhere.
Which products do you use, and why?
These creams help me recover and look after my body, so I feel good for the next day outdoors.
What's your biggest achievement so far?
My consistency. Over the past three years I've raised my level and stayed in Austria's top ten. But more important than any podium, summit or line are the people I've helped in the mountains when they were lost, injured or out of their depth.
What are you working towards now?
A freeride project in autumn 2027.

Better recovery starts with Nordal Care.

The story

I'm a runner from Belgium, from 5 kilometres to half and full marathons, plus eight to ten hours a week on the bike.

Running is my greatest passion, but for me sport is more than just training. Getting stronger every day, pushing limits and setting new goals. I share my training on Instagram to get others moving.

To my name: the Barcelona Marathon in 2:52, with an injury from kilometre 38, and 21st place in Lanzarote. I'm now working towards the Amsterdam Half Marathon.

Dieter Deprez, Nordal ambassador
Why Nordal?
They're practical, in small and large sizes. They work for me. Nordal Care is a brand I trust.
Which products do you use, and why?
Recovery is part of my daily routine, all year round. After hard runs and long rides, or just when my legs feel tired. I can use it every day to keep my legs fresh. No Friction is essential: when you spend that many hours on the bike, you have to prevent chafing to stay comfortable.
What's your biggest achievement so far?
The Barcelona Marathon in 2 hours 52, with an injury from kilometre 38. And 21st place at the Lanzarote Marathon.
What are you working towards now?
The Amsterdam Half Marathon on 18 October. Before that, the Ultra Cycling Backyard in Bornem is on the schedule, on 19 September.

Winter Olympics goal

I found my purpose in the mountains, my discipline in the race, and my freedom in the journey.

The story

I'm an alpine snowboarder from India, racing giant slalom and slalom. I'm in my third competitive season and spend most of the year training, racing and travelling.

Snowboarding became more than a sport for me: it gave me direction and a life I could never have imagined. Alongside competing, I love riding backcountry, in India sometimes at around 5,500 metres. That's where I find the freedom and calm the sport gives me.

This year I reached a place among the top three alpine snowboarders in India. I'm now working towards qualifying for the 2030 Winter Olympics, where no Indian snowboarder has ever competed. I also want to show that India has snow, snowboarders and talent.

Shaurya Thakur, Nordal ambassador
Why Nordal?
The products have become a fixed part of my daily routine. My training is a mix of competitions, gym work, travel, backcountry riding and long days in tough conditions in the mountains, so recovery really matters to me.
Which products do you use, and why?
I use Hot Gel before training, especially when I'm getting my body ready for a hard session. After intense training, competitions or long days in the mountains I reach for Ice Gel for a cool, soothing feel. I use Recovery Gel later in the day and before bed. I like combining them, because each product fits a different part of my routine.
What's your biggest achievement so far?
This year I reached my highest level yet and made it into India's top three alpine snowboarders. I'm proud of that, but I see it modestly as one step on a much longer road. My best moments weren't in competitions, but in India's high mountains, backcountry, completely free.
What are you working towards now?
Qualifying for the 2030 Winter Olympics. No Indian snowboarder has ever competed at the Games, and I want to help change that. I also want to show that India has snow, snowboarders and real potential.

Warm up before the first run, cool down and recover after the last.

The story

I'm a BMX Freestyle rider from the Czech Republic, now training in Eindhoven. I ride international competitions and I'm at the start of my breakthrough at the highest level.

Park and street riding push my wrists, ankles and lower back to the limit every session. Short, explosive attempts, lots of repetition and hard landings: the recovery between two sessions determines how many runs fit into a week.

Nordal supports me with the gels I use before and after riding.

Over long distances, recovery counts just as much as the training itself.

The story

I'm a triathlete with several Ironman triathlons to my name.

Swimming, cycling and running in one day means a training week with hardly a day off. It's not the individual disciplines that make it tough, but the accumulation: volume week after week, with recovery as the only real brake.

Nordal supports me in the run-up to my races and on race day itself.

Thomas van de Perre, Nordal ambassador
Why Nordal?
Nordal fits an active lifestyle really well. As an athlete I'm not looking for products that just sound good, but for products that are practical and have a fixed place in my daily training and recovery. Nordal focuses on what athletes really need: comfort, care and recovery.
Which products do you use, and why?
My favourites are No Friction Cream and Recovery Muscle Gel. As a triathlete I spend a huge number of hours on the bike, in the water and running. I use No Friction Cream during long training sessions and races, where friction and irritation often become an issue. Recovery Muscle Gel fits perfectly with my daily training load: when you train many hours a week, recovery matters at least as much as the training itself.
What drives you?
The combination of discipline, hard work and the constant search for improvement. I don't just want to get faster as an athlete, I also want to inspire others to be active, set goals and get the most out of themselves.
What's your biggest achievement so far?
My first really strong full Ironman, in about 8h21. What made it special was realising that all the hours of training, the sacrifices and the tough moments came together in one race. It gave me the confidence that I can grow much further.
What are you working towards now?
In the short term a strong Ironman in Italy, then further development towards 2027 and the step up to the professional circuit. My big dream is to compete for a top 3 place at the Ironman World Championship in Kona.
