Mission:

We are Nordal, and we are here for everyone who wants to push their physical limits by providing muscle gels that aid in muscle recovery and effectively relieve pain.

We aim to offer innovative muscle gels with natural ingredients that effectively stimulate muscle recovery and relieve pain, enabling people to perform optimally. Our strong commitment to ecological sustainability ensures that our products benefit both the consumer and the planet.

About us:

Nordal is a family business specializing in natural muscle gels that focus on promoting recovery and alleviating sore muscles for (top) athletes worldwide.

The first product, "Hot Muscle gel," from the muscle gel line was launched in 2003. This was previously only used during treatments in our own physiotherapy practices and outpatient clinics of the ISP-group.

After multiple requests from external physiotherapy practices, gyms, masseurs, and athletes to purchase the products, it was decided to also distribute the muscle gels. In addition, Nordal has developed three additional variants with one of Europe's best laboratories and added them to the muscle gel line: Recovery Muscle gel, Foot Muscle gel, and Ice Muscle gel. This allows Nordal to offer a complete package that focuses on injury prevention, stimulating muscle recovery, and promoting physical endurance.

In 2022, Fire & Ice transitioned to the Nordal brand name, and new partners came on board. Nordal aims to develop a more diverse product portfolio and work on scaling up.

Sustainability

The laboratory Nordal collaborates with focuses on sustainable production and its continuous development. Currently, the generation of green electricity with solar panels, integrated ventilation systems, and the raw material-saving use of production-related waste heat for heat recovery contribute to this. Additionally, raw materials are sourced from selected suppliers. All products are currently produced in the EU, which ensures a smaller CO2 emission during transport. Finally, LED lighting is used in our distribution center, which operates on motion sensors, and there are plans to install solar panels in the future.

Product and packaging

Our muscle gel packaging is made predominantly from recycled material, and after use, our packaging can be cleaned for personal reuse or disposed of with plastic waste for recycling. All boxes are made from recycled material and are unbleached and unprinted. Furthermore, paper tape is used to reduce plastic consumption. Another benefit of paper tape is the simplification of the waste separation process. The tape does not need to be removed from the boxes first. Our products are vegan as we do not use ingredients derived from animal components. Additionally, we avoid paraffins, parabens, aluminum salts, solid microplastic particles, and mineral oils. Finally, our products are not, and have never been, tested on animals.
